My wife and I, with our three kids, just returned from Destiny October 3rd sailing. We had an 8B cabin 7254 Balcony Mid Ship on the Empress Deck, with a pull down bunk.

My wife and I are in our late 30's to early 40's and our kids are 3, 9, & 12. We had a fantastic cruise and the Destiny was in GREAT shape.

We arrived at the pier at 11:50 and went right in as there were only one or two in line. The whole family had our passports and within about 20 mins we had our sign & sail cards and were getting on-board Destiny. The new terminal is much nicer than the old one Carnival used. We went to our cabin and dropped off the carry-on luggage then it was off to the Sun and Sea Restaurant lunch. After lunch we went exploring the ship. Let me tell you that Destiny was in great shape. Much better than we expected from some other reviews we had read. In fact I thought it was in better shape than the Triumph was on our Cruise last year. We took a few pictures and then went back to the Sun & Sea Rest to meet our fellow Cruise Critic Cruisers. It was great to put faces with those we had already come to know through this board.
