Cruised before with Carnival (Eastern Caribbean, Carnival Glory) and fell in love with the crew and accommodations. Wanted to see the rest of the Caribbean, so we decided to take the Southern Caribbean out of San Juan. I thought I was pretty much prepared for anything since I read Cruise Critic faithfully. I was once again impressed with the crew. Just as friendly and accommodating on Victory. BUT, nothing prepares you for rude guests. I was hoping that the reviews were just complainers, but no, they are valid complaints. Be prepared for the locals from PR. They cut in line, stand around and block the lines while talking to friends and family, allow family members to cut in line, etc. They go through the food like they haven't eaten in years. Very sad! By the time you get to the buffet line you're lucky to have 1/2 the choices. I was so impressed with Carnival Glory that I booked this cruise the day after getting back. Understand folks, I am NEVER one to complain. I am not one who expects a lot. But this is a cruise I will NEVER take again. I will try out the Western Caribbean and of course go back on the Eastern Caribbean (Carnival Glory), BUT I WILL NOT TAKE THE SOUTHERN CARIBBEAN again. If you decide to take the Victory, please be prepared and take lots of deep breaths. Your patience will be tested =)

PR- had a great time viewing old San Juan. Had a great time at Senor Frogs! Dominica- River tubing, Eco Falls, Carib Indians (Excursion booked with Carnival). Wonderful excursion.

St. Thomas- Been there before, new what to expect. Took a taxi to Megan's Bay for a day of beach, sun and fun. Good time. Read more
