Ship Facts: Carnival Dream Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Dream Deck Plans
Just a fantastic cruise, would sail this ship again
just got back and had a fantastic time. we went as 2 families with kids aged 5, 9 and 10)

went to port canaveral the night before the cruise. flew into orlando and took a 45 minute shuttle. we used lauras shuttle (they were horrible, late and unresponsive to phone calls)

boarded at port canaveral on saturday about 11AM. boarding went pretty smooth and took about 45 minutes to get on the ship. buffet was open and ready to use as soon as we got on the ship.

we had cabin category 8a (balcony cabin) on deck 6 forward. cabin was pretty typical of otehr balcony cabins on modern ships, but after a week it did seem to "feel" a bit larger.

ship is modern and well appointed. beautiful to look at with nice finishes.

we did most meals in the dining room and had excellent service. food was well above average. my only complaint is they seemed to be less flexible with "special requests" some requests they did easily (such as a plain iceberg salad when it was not on the menu) and others they were not able to accomodate (Asked for fish sticks that they were serving at the kids camp that same night, but were told no). all in all i give the food and dining room service at least a 9 out of 10. especially good were the ribs, prime rib, and lobster tail. just fair was the flatiron steak.

we ate at art chef steakhouse one night. food was amazing. steaks and lobster tails were perfectly done. desserts were off the hook, carmamel pple tart and chocolate sampler were beyond expectations.

cabin steward was excellent as usual. always sneaking in just as we left to eat and coming back to a freshly made room. 9 out of 10 again.

water park was awesome. twister always had a longer line, but i liked drainpipe much better. racing lane slides were ok too. pools were nice but a little on the small side.

ports, we had been to most of them so nothing new there for us.

kids used the camp about 1/2 the time and always came back happy.

disappointments, not many. but laundry is only on 3 decks so they get backed up very fast. arcade was fair and games a bit on the expensive side. also a few of the games were out of order. minor issue.

overall, would go back on the ship again in a minute.
