just got back and had a fantastic time. we went as 2 families with kids aged 5, 9 and 10)
went to port canaveral the night before the cruise. flew into orlando and took a 45 minute shuttle. we used lauras shuttle (they were horrible, late and unresponsive to phone calls)
boarded at port canaveral on saturday about 11AM. boarding went pretty smooth and took about 45 minutes to get on the ship. buffet was open and ready to use as soon as we got on the ship.
