Ketchikan seems to be the favorite among the passengers. There is just so much to choose from it was hard to decide. I chose an excursion to Totem Bight. It was very informative but I didn't feel worth the $48 it cost. My husband chose to the fishing excursion through the ship. 42 other people were on this particular trip. Only two bites between them all. Most wrote it off to a bad day fishing. Notes were compared with others that took independent trips and lo and behold...ALL the independent trips were very successful and fun. Not saying anything but it does make you wonder. 
I enjoyed Ketchikan's shopping too. I made it off the main drag to creek street. Those store were more to my liking! 


Ketchikan

Juneau was an interesting port. What we were going to do was dependant on the weather. It was a bit cloudy so we hopped on one on the many many buses willing to take you to Mendenhall Glacier. $28.00 round trip for both. Absolutely beautiful. The buses ran every 30 minutes so you could stay as long as you liked. We came back into town, looked at the crowds around Roberts Tram and said No Way. So we just strolled and did some shopping. 
We compared notes with others from the ship that evening and everyone seemed to have a great time. 


Juneau

We got away from everyone for a bit in Skagway. We rented a car from Avis($113.00) and went off for a drive. We drove up to Whitehorse Canada going thru Carcross and by Emerald Lake on the way. This was an absolutely beautiful drive. Very relaxing and peaceful. 
From everyone's comments we wanted to get an early start to miss the crowds. We ran into very little traffic and was even able to stop in the middle of the road for some pictures without fear of someone else coming along, 
We returned the car and did a little shopping after walking around the town. 
We decided to go back to the ship for some dinner and enjoyed watching the helicopter rides coming and going from our window. 
People sure were gushing about this when they got back. 


Skagway

What a charming city! We will definitely go back. This was the one port that we felt we didn't have enough time. We took a cab to the center of town. Did the shopping that needed to be done and enjoyed just walking around. They have a wonderful waterfront walk. And the street performers were wonderful. We also found a great way to get rid of our Canadian coins...we gave them to the performers.....and yes we realize that they know this too. It's all good. 


Victoria

9112...great location mid ship...if you're big into photography you might not want this cabin.  The support beams will get in your way.
This didn't disturb us in the least.  We spent a lot of time there watching the world go by.
Close to the stairs and elevators.  Very quiet.  Great use of space.

While all but one night in the main dining room was good, nothing really blew me or my husband away.Everything else was good and nobody should stave on this ship.
