Some more good news from recent POA travelers! My husband and I just returned from the 9/26 POA Cruise and we had a delightful time! We went well prepared with many helpful suggestions and tips offered by previous cruisers. We spent 3 days at the Waikiki Marriott as a precruise and I highly recommend it if you have the time. Not only were we able to catch up on our "Jet lag" we were able to see many Oahu attractions.

We arrived in Honolulu on Thursday. We had rented a car for our stay there but there are fairly inexpensive shuttles and a city bus that you can take from the airport to the local hotels. I also highly recommend that you purchase a Hawaii Entertainment Book. We used it for our dinners there...the Buy One, Get One Free offers in the book are better than most of the other local coupons that can be obtained in most of the hotels. We also used the coupons for the Polynesian Cultural Center and our friends used one to the Aquarium (which was within walking distance). There are also coupons for restaurants and attractions on the other islands (which would be useful if you are planning on renting a car and/or booking your own excursions outside of NCL). We had booked all of our excursions for the week from the ship through NCL.

We visited the Polynesian Cultural Center on Friday and this turned out to be one of the best excursions of the entire week! It ended with an excellent Polynesian show that should not be missed!
