As first time cruisers we had no idea as to what to expect of our cruise. We had read a lot of reviews but we were still concerned as we are both terrible sailors & get sea sick going to get fish & chips! I must say, we hardly even knew we were at sea. There was no motion to speak of except for one day when we had a 3 metre swell & it was slightly rocky, but we experienced no seasickness at all. When we woke up in the mornings quite often we were already in port & we couldn't even tell we had stopped moving.
Embarkation was easy & straight forward. Our luggage was delivered with 30 minutes. We had Cabin 1066 in Concierge class on level 10 of the ship. Cabins were compact & well set out with a small balcony sufficient for a table & two chairs. Plenty of hanging space & storage for luggage. We put our suitcases under the bed out of the way. Our room attendant was very good. He introduced himself & was always on call. He even remembered our names & went out of his way to say hello every day.
We had chosen select dining as we liked the idea of dining when we felt like it & not being subjected to a set time. We found this very good & we always given a table straight away. We never had to wait at all. The only downside (to us) was that we were always given a table for 2, therefore not getting the opportunity to meet other people. So would we select this option again.......probably not! We would try the late sitting for 6-8 people in the hope of getting sat at a large table where we could interact & meet other passengers. We ate in the MDR for 6 out of the 10 nights. We found the food wonderful & could not fault it. Breakfast in the oceanview cafe was also great. Plenty of variety & lots of healthy options.
good location. same floor as the library. halfway down the hallway, so was a bit of a walk.
