We chose the Alaska cruise for the ports and length. 1st embarktation went smooth as we we're at the port early on Tues. the 8Th had maybe a 30 minutes wait to board the ship. once we we're allowed on we went to the lido deck for lunch. Food was good crew we're very friendly and very helpful. We toured the ship as this was our first cruise on board carnival. Very interesting decor. We we're allowed into our cabin at 1:30 pm.

Our cabin was on the starboard side, great location not far from the elevators and just starting amid-ship, the cabin was just as aspect nice size for two people plenty of storage room in the closets and drawers. My wife put everything in its place and we changed for dinner. One thing I did not like was that carnival did not stick to dress code for dinner. One small hick-up was we we're put into anytime dinning but got that straighten out very quickly and we're pair with a great couple.

The port we're good we did our own traveling while in the port. Talking with everyone who had done an excursion said they enjoyed every thing they had done. our last port in Victoria was cancelled due to high winds and rough seas. We arrived back in Seattle during the night and disembarkation started around 7:15 am and went very smoothly. I recommend if you can take your own luggage with you that is the fastest and easiest way off. Customs went very smoothly and quickly.

A great view the only problem we had and did not address was we could not get the temp to our liking.
