I was also on the Sea Princess to Alaska and I agree with the other reviewers. Overall, we had a wonderful time, however, we would more than likely not do another Princess cruise. The overall feel was that this was a very unhappy staff. The sewage smell was ever present & quite nauseating. They had fans blowing on the public restroom floor where we can only assume it flooded over. The rooms are small & the balconies are quite enclosed so they don't offer the views that the news ships do. We found the food to be quite good, however, we did not do the buffet for lunch, we did pizza or hamburgers out side.
The tipping arrangement is a bad idea, you are led to believe that your tip is added each day to your bill (which it is) and so you think you are done with that aspect, until they tell you that they only get a miniscule portion of the tip & so really, to leave another hefty tip for the over worked staff. Our dining stewards were good & efficient, the staff elsewhere, not so much.
Embarkation was disorganized, disembarkation was the easiest we've ever had (approx. 10 cruises)
