Sail Date: May 2010

I have sailed on this ship twice, mostly because of the proximity of the embarkation port to my home. Since I went a second time I obviously enjoyed the experience enough to be a repeat customer. Having said that, I'm not sure I will be returning for a third time.

The good: The crew, for the most part, is pleasant, hard working and motivated. From the cabin stewards to the bartenders to the dining room wait staff the crew on the pride is one of the best. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome and work extremely hard. The live music in the bars and lounges is top notch. They are very talented. The piano bar should not be missed. The other guests on board are a wonderful cross section of people and are a fun group to associate and party with.

The bad: When problems do occur, the guest services personnel are not always helpful and, at times, downright rude. I had a problem on the ship due to faulty equipment. I simply wanted the situation resolved in a timely manner. The supervisor I spoke with at the guest services desk was extremely rude and insulting. To his credit he apologized as did his superior. But this is just one example of an otherwise wonderful crew being undermined by poorly trained guest services personnel.

Cabin Review

Cabin 8

Cabin 8126. Wonderful. Great view, very quite. Toward the front of the ship. I will always try to get a cabin in this area. I probably should say it's horrible so others won't be interested, but for me it was the best location I ever had.
