We have cruised several locations, lines and ships and our friends had never cruised before so I played travel agent for this trip. Thank goodness they are dear friends and other cruisers on the ship shared similar cruising stories and opinions with our friends.

We started off our cruise out of Venice and booked a 2 night stay prior to embarkation. The Hilton Molino is gorgeous but when we arrived we were told we had two single beds, as a couple traveling without our toddlers I was furious. Once we got into the room it was apparent that the NCL representative didn't care much once they sold it to you they had your money and that was all that mattered. I felt Susie wasn't going to lead us astray and had spoken to her several times on the phone before leaving for Europe, she assured me the rooms, beds would be quiet and the beds would be large and comfortable. After all we upgraded!!! I had to call Susie once we got to our rooms and the hotel said they were booked and couldn't do anything for us. I explained how disappointed we were that both rooms were single beds and she said it was out of her hands the hotel would have to fix it. She offered nothing to make it right once we got on board the ship! My husband had his birthday while we were on the cruise, Susie assured me she would take care of it and do something special. Nothing doesn't count for something special in my book.

The sanitation station was above 11612 and loud banging could be heard all through the night and day. I felt so horrible we actually packed up our stuff to trade with the other couple and had done the switch, then the Director of Customer Service had contacted our friends and explained they would accommodate a cabin change after 4 nights on the ship and we had been told they couldn't change cabins because they were full.
