My husband (24yrs) and I (22yrs) have cruised both RCCL and CCL before. This was our 4th cruise, to celebrate completing our first year of college. I am an avid Cruise Critic reader, so I had a few concerns about the Destiny. This is my experience:

- Embarkation was efficient but unfriendly. All but two staff members were royally obnoxious. Our stateroom was ready quickly and our luggage arrived within 2 hours of boarding the ship.

- Our stateroom was an interior room, located midship (# 6193) on Deck 6. It was far more spacious than we had expected, with lots of storage space. We had trouble with the shower flooding on our first day, however, maintenance fixed the problem immediately. Our stateroom attendant offered Carnival's standard housekeeping services twice daily, which we greatly appreciated. I had already arranged pre-paid gratuities, but we left him an additional $3 daily. We never met him, so we could not thank him verbally.
