My wife and I cruise every year. We always go the day before to avoid the stress of flying in the same day. Our home port was Ft.Lauderdale. We stayed at the Rennaisance on 17th St, which we got on priceline for less than $100. It's a great hotel and we would recommend it to anyone. There is a walgreens across the street for any last minute needs. We ate next door at the Bimini Boatyard. Good meal, close by. The Manager of the hotel had a reception for all hotel guests that included appetisers and rum punch.

Day 1- We always get in a hurry to get to the ship and this time was no exception. We left the hotel at 10:15 and got there at 10:30 After checking our luggage, we went inside and went through check in, which took about 10 minutes. They took us to a waiting area where you were split into groups according to your cruise status( Gold, Platinum, etc) We started boarding at 11:00 and I was the first person on the ship! We explored a little and went to the windjammer for lunch. Our cabin was ready at 1:00 and the luggage arrived at 2. The muster drill was painless this time, you don't need the life jackets. We had dinner at the windjammer, was too tired to get dressed up for dinner. The welcome aboard show was great. After the show we called it a night.

Day 2-Key West. We left the ship and was walking into town and noticed several bicycles that were giving tours(kind of like a rickshaw) and decided to take one. Our guise, Tom, was the best. We found out things we never knew about Key West. After the tour, we did some shopping and had some Key Lime pie. Went back to the ship around 1 to enjoy the pool. We had Dinner in the dining room and our service staff was outstanding.Food was great, no problems at all. Went to the Production show, wasn't bad but we had seen better.

Cabin Review

Cabin bal

Great room, loved the balcony. The only negative is the small TV and not having the ability to check your on board account.
