This was our 3rd time on the Explorer out of Cape Liberty so we were pretty familiar on how things worked. My boyfriend and I got a ride to the port and arrived around noon, a little later that expected due to NJ traffic. But once we checked in...which went really quick...we were able to get right on the ship.
The ship is beautiful...noticed some new things since the last time we were on. We had an ocean-view cabin on deck 3, there was plenty of room for all of our things. The gym was nice, basic equipment. Spinning class was fun. For the most part we spent our time hanging out on the pool deck...we had no trouble finding a place to sit.
The food was great...ate in the MDR every night except one and the Windjammer for breakfast and lunch. Being a vegetarian I found the buffet selection to be more than accommodating.
As for the entertainment...the shows that we went to were good...didn't make it to that many though.
Our time in Bermuda was great More
it's such a beautiful place...went to Horseshoe Bay and the Swizzle Inn the first day and stayed around the Dockyard and Snorkel Park the second day. We were so lucky to have great weather. Even though the water was a little chilly there were still lots of people swimming.
Bahamas was nice...our first time there so we were a little overwhelmed with people coming up to you every second trying to sell you something. Senor Frogs was definitely the highlight! The next day we were in Cococay which was so nice a relaxing.
The staff on the Explorer was wonderful, everyone was so friendly and helpful. From the Cruise director and his staff to the bartenders, waitstaff and stateroom attendant.
We did the express walk off...it went really quick. Our walk off time was 8:45 and we were in the car heading home by 9.
Definitely can't wait til we sail on the Explorer again! Less
