Background Info: This is my 5th cruise in 8 years and a first one I took with my parents who are in their 80s. Prior to this cruise I've traveled to Europe and Caribbean. My previous cruises have been on HAL, RCCL and Princess. This was my first time with NCL.

Embarkation: We live near by, my husband dropped us off. Worked out great. We got a wheelchair for my dad because he has difficulty walking and were wheeled in very quickly.

Stateroom: We had a balcony stateroom in forward portion of ship. It was a bit smaller than HAL and RCCL. Bathroom, on the other hand, was slightly larger or, possibly, better designed compared to the other ships. I also liked the fact that toilet was separated by a sliding door from the wash area. Closet space was poorly designed with shelves located inside of the closet instead of drawers that could be accessed from outside. This design made the bottom shelves unusable. Very tiny old style TV. The main bed was comfortable. My bed was a "fold out" and pretty hard. Cabin was well maintained.
