I titled this "Too Much!!!" because it was just that. Too much eating, too much drinking and way too much fun.

This was our (DW and another couple) fifth cruise with Carnival and one of our best. Maybe because we didn't take the kids on this one. Please, nobody tell my kids I said that. Anyway, embarkation was a breeze. We got to the port of Jacksonville around 12:30 and we were on the Lido deck eating lunch within an hour. There were long lines but they moved quickly. We found out later that a bomb threat had been called in earlier that morning, so that might have been some of the reason for the long lines.

After lunch we walked around the ship to look at all the renovations they had made to the ship. We have previously been on the Imagination and Inspiration so we did have something to compare it too. I really liked the pool area and the serenity deck. The umbrellas and palm trees are a great improvement. It made the areas seem more resort-like and provided some much needed shade at times. I also like that the slides were moved to the back of the ship and didn't take up all that space in the pool area. Great job Carnival!

Cabin Review

Cabin U

Our cabin was mid-ship. Half way between two elevators so it was very quiet. But was close enough that you didn't feel you had to walk for ever to get to one. There was ample storage space for our clothes. Beds were very comfortable. I was surprised that we were getting channels from Colorado. Seemed kind of weird to me. Why not Miami or Atlanta. That would make more sense. All in all, a good cabin in a good location.
