This was our first cruise on the Serenade of the Seas. This was a family cruise with our daughter who had just the day before graduated from college, and our son who is in high school. We chose the Serenade because of the unusual itinerary.

We flew into San Juan Saturday morning, and took a cab directly to the port. Embarkation was super-easy, and somehow we ended up being the first guests on board at about 11:30 am. We took the glass elevators up to deck 11 to get some lunch at the Windjammer. Lunch was great - one thing I noticed was that Windjammer seemed to have more variety all week long.

The first thing we noticed was the superb service all throughout the week. Our waiter (Preston), assistant (Michael) and Headwaiter (?) were all excellent. We buy the soda package, and after the first night, Michael had the diet cokes at the table and never let them go empty. Preston was awesome, probably the best waiter we have ever had. We also visited him several times in the Seaview Cafe, where he was the Supervisor.
