Compare Prices on Carnival Valor Western Caribbean Cruises

1st Cruise and Hooked

Sail Date: May 2010
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Miami

This was our honeymoon and my wife requested lots of sun as Seattle and the sun don't get along very well besides during summer. So Caribbean cruise it was for our first cruise and we had a blast and it hard to imagine a better cruise. We will try another cruise line besides Carnival to compare. Until then i will revel in my "ignorance" and sweet memories

Too much food but i was determined not to gain even an ounce of weight so i ate mostly healthy meaning I stayed away from pizza, hot dogs, fries and the dripping cheese that came with it. Besides those I ate everything else mostly smaller portions more often but not always and I hit the running deck and gym 4times through the cruise. i also had lots of fruits. Result No Weight Gain and I found it hard to imagine why people went to the paid restaurant with so many free options

I did not book any excursion through Carnival and glad i did not. Our cost were at least 50% lower than Carnival prices and we had twice the More fun in smaller groups and adventured more

We booked an inside room and will always book an inside room. Why book a more expensive room when you are not going to be there except to sleep and run out when you wake up. Save the cash and spend it on something else Less

Cabin review: Carnival Valor Interior Main 2410

Room 2410. Banging noise and vibration at night. Have to change rooms to sleep

Port and Shore Excursions

Cave tubing and local restaurant. Not too much going on there but they have a great history or at least what was left after the British siphoned all the resources they could leaving the place close to barren

(5.5)
Scuba diving, Snorkling, Massage, Shopping

Sting Ray City, Snorkeling, Hell, Local restaurant, 7 Mile beach. We tried to walk the entire 7miles beach but gave up after 5miles

Everywhere on the island until we got tired and still had 2hrs free time. Iguana, monkey etc etc...... We also had lots of history from the local guide which was icing on the cake
