This was my third time on the Majesty. I cruised on this ship in 08 and 09 with my nieces. This was my husband's first time on this ship. We are 43 & 44. In all, my husband and I have been on Royal Caribbean 8 times. Almost Diamond Members!

We arrived in Miami on Sunday and spent the night at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami. It was about $27 from the airport, including tip for a taxi. The hotel is very convenient because Bayside Marketplace is right across the street. There are numerous places to eat/drink/shop. The Harbor is right there with all the private yachts and boats. Very nice way to fill the evening before the cruise. We went to Hooters for a bite to eat. We ordered the boneless wings. 10 for $7.95. Well, they were bite size! We each could've eaten one order. Oh well. We had 2 beers and then we walked around. If you go all the way to the end of the Bayside and hang right... there is a nice park to walk around right on the water. Also, there is a CVS next to the Holiday Inn. If you walk out the lobby and take a right, it is about 2 blocks up. We purchased all our toiletries there for the cruise. The next morning, around 10:30, we jumped in a taxi in front of the hotel and headed to the pier. It was $12 with tip.

We got to the port (10 minutes) and there were 3 ships docked. We gave our luggage to the porters ($3 tip) and we were able to walk right into the terminal. We saw ALOT of people who carried their own luggage on board. I suspect these are first timers. It is much much better to give your luggage to the porters if you arrive early. You will have to lug it around with you until the cabins are ready... around 1 pm. And we saw a lot of people with tons of luggage lugging it around the ship. Check-in started early! Around 11:30 they let Diamond and Platinum members check-in, followed by all the others. Check-in was painless and by noon we were in the Windjammer.

Cabin Review

Cabin in

Inside cabins are tiny! But once you get organized you will realize there is plenty of storage room. Be sure to use the space under the bed for your luggage! Bathroom is really tiny.
