We had a wonderful week cruising with Celebrity Solstice. Recently we have noticed other cruise lines have cut standards - no free drinks (even juices), charging for every single extra, however minor. However, Celebrity have still maintained old standards. We felt welcomed, even feted from the first moment -easy quick check-in, free glass of champagne on boarding the ship.

The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout - if you had a problem, they were eager and quick to sort it out. For example, I could not find a chair in the shade (as opposed to a sunbed) and the pool staff found one and even moved it for me. The restaurant staff in the Select Dining area were funny and charming throughout. Even though we had paid tips in advance, the service was as good as if the staff were working for tips - they just wanted the customers to be happy.

The cabin was one of the lowest cost available and was excellent - lots of room, well equipped, with the biggest shower we have seen in any cruise ship. Usually you can't turn round in the shower but in this one there was lots of room. Big comfortable bed and lots of room to move around and sit. Bathrobes provided without having to ask. Just great in every way.

Cabin Review

Great roomy cabin. Wonderful shower with loads of room to move around. Excellent facilites, free bathrobes. We had an indoor cabin on deck 3 - close to public areas. This was cheap but great - only a short walk to most facilities - and no noise in spite of closeness to centre
