Sail Date: May 2010

Although not our first cruse we have sailed several r CL and Carnival and even HAL, but our first with Princess.

Let me say, honestly it was a wonderful ship but some of my thoughts may or may not help you when choosing the Emerald. Although, I thought I read alot about the ship I could have known more, so here goes.

CABIN SELECTION---Selecting a cabin as far forward as we were was not great. I chose it because I wanted 3cabins near each other and for that reason alone. Next time I would not do that, I dont mind walking but the cabins were not convenient to anything. Mid ship or towards the aft is the way to go in my opinion. Caribe is deck 10 so you have to go up 5 or down 3 or more better to decide what your interests and get closest to that in my opinion. On tis cruise the AFT cabins had no view in St. Marten just the open water, but in St. Thomas they faced the island. We were on Starboard side and in port at St. Martin we looked out at the Liberty of the SEas no view at all. St Thomas were were the only ones in port st we did have a view. More on ports later.

Cabin Review

Cabin bal

Out of the way being that far forward

Deck 10 not convenient to anything you would proably be doing

Balcony was roomy and partially covered

You will hear neighbors next door though not much converstion privacy.
