Sail Date: May 2010

It was my first cruise and I enjoyed myself. My goal for the cruise was relaxation! Cabin: It was larger than I expected. We were the last room on floor 1 in the back of the ship. We experienced quite a bit of engine noise, and you could feel the ship's movement. I would probably book a room on a higher floor on my next cruise.

Dining: I ate in the formal dining room each night. I thought the food was good. There were always several choices and you could order any and everything you wanted. It seemed the most worth my money. I ate at the buffet for lunch and breakfast occasionally. It was pretty good. I wasn't super impressed. The 24hr pizza was good and the grill had some decent choices. The all day soft serve ice cream machine may have been my favorite :)

Activities: As a first timer, I didn't know what there might be. The sing-a-long piano player at the Apollo Bar was great. I watched 2 dancing/singing shows and they were entertaining. The comedians were pretty good. I didn't win at the casino - but it was a good time. The cruise director and the entertainment staff all did a great job. There was a hairy chest contest at the pool one day that was a riot! The deck chairs filled up quickly on the day at sea, but other than that time there was no problem finding a spot to lay out and enjoy the sun.

Cabin Review

Larger than expected! Engine noise was quite loud at times, especially during port docking. Final docking in Miami was the worst for a couple hours with quite a bit of shaking. Overall, for the cost, it was good. Very clean!
