We're not first time cruisers and have sailed with Thomson before, so we knew we could expect good things - and we weren't disappointed.
Yes, okay, it wasn't perfect, but when you consider the events that led up to it you can understand why. Not only were all outbound UK flights grounded until the day we sailed, but Thomson Dream had spent her first few days under Thomson management on rescue mission as a repatriation ferry.
The few teething problems - little things like supplies that didn't make it out to the ship in time and new staff that hadn't had time to really gel as a team - certainly didn't spoil the cruise for us.
