Sail Date: Apr 2010

We sailed on the NCL Gem on the April 24 sailing to the Greek Islands out of Venice. Our opinion of the cruise is mixed but I will try to be fair in my review.

First of all - the worst: the embarkation in Venice was the absolute worst I have experienced in 20 plus cruises. There was no organization, no proper system for queuing which resulted in some passengers waiting in the seating area, some queuing up, some milling around and everyone being confused and frustrated. I saw several arguments about people "jumping the line" and the staff on hand just wandered around looking lost and making feeble attempts at restoring order.

Other cruise lines seem to have embarkation systems that work - NCL should take some lessons.

Cabin Review

Tiny room, excellent bathroom. appreciated the shower doors, would be nice to have some body lotion provided.
