Our cruise started off a little late due to someone bragging about the drugs he is bringing from Jamaica. Boy what a jerk! But having dear mother in a wheel chair, and us in a Royal Family Suite, we got to board early. Went straight to the room, then went to explore this magnificent ship. The room was huge, both bedrooms where bigger than I thought. The bathroom's shower was better than having a curtain touch your butt while showering, so I liked that. I wish the tub was a Jacuzzi tub, but that was fine also. The balcony was also big, did not like the soot from the engines, but they kept it clean as best they could. Was worried about the soot on clothes, but came out very easy. The room attendant, Loretta was a wonderful person. When she was told to empty fridge, she did. She learned we use a lot of ice, and had two containers a day always full. The room were always kept up, even with our strange schedule. The towel animals where wonderful and fun to see. I personally did not go into the concierge lounge, except to check my E-mails. But Israel did so much for the family with tours, and meeting the captain, they all just loved him. One of my cabin mates put the Meet and Mingle sheet in the binder, so I missed it. Very disappointing. Now to the Main Dining Room. Our waitress, Iris, was such a joy. She made eating such a pleasure, Always smiled and took such great care of all 9 of us, we all wanted to kidnap her. The food was excellent and was hot, fresh, tasted great. We got to order whatever we wanted and how much we wanted. When we left, my belt was for decoration, not to hold my pants up anymore! I do not understand why you would pay for the fine dining, or go eat at windjammer during dinner. Even though Iris always said, as to be second nature to her, that it was "Her Pleasure", it was truly mine. Iris, you put the fine, in fine dining.

We did see the Ice Show, and like everyone says it was great. We also saw Etta May, So funny, I am so glad we got her DVD. We did the bridge tour, galley tour, and Ice carving. These people know what they are doing and was such a joy seeing them in action. Went to the casino, and won $450 the first night in 20 minutes. Pam won $300 about 5 minutes after that, so we left while a head. The next night I won $300, Pam nothing, but the next night she won over $700. Unfortunately when we win, we leave. More unfortunate is that Pam did keep going and not win other nights. I was just too pooped to play. I thought the Poker tourney was $50, but learned it was $100. I love online poker, but that is fake money, that was real. I just wished I knew I was going to win so much I just might have signed up.

Having the huge balcony all open, we did not need to sun ourselves by the pool. Friends did the rock wall and loved it. We did play putt putt, brought back memories of being young again. You would think being on a ship the ball would roll all over, it didn't roll a bit. Did the Johnny Rockets, Food was limited, but good. Loved the Malts, but could have gotten them at the Ben and Jerry's on the promenade. Room service food was also so good, even being on the back of the ship it was fast, hot and tasty too ! Now to the excursions, in Cozumel we did the Tequila tasting, they drove us there and we had a walking tour of a models of different buildings. Saw a movie about Mexico, then did the tasting. Oh my is all I can say, we tasted about 10 shots of different Tequila, then they brought out the Salsa made from different peppers. I do not eat salsa but was feeling no pain I thought what could happen. Hey Habaneras are mouth burning ! After eating tacos, and a margarita or two, (I forgot how much we drank) we got more shots of different cream Tequilas. ( that helped the salsa go away ).

Cabin Review

Great balcony, they even tried to keep soot cleaned up. Wish bathtub was jacuzzi, but still was nice to have. Room was wonderful and BIG. furniture was a few years old but quite nice and in shape.
