Everyone who has cruised knows that big ships are usually "cattle calls" to dinner, disembarking, shows, etc. however, THIS ship really seems to have it all figured out. RCCL and X take note at Liberty's training methods, from the head waiters, to housekeeping staff, from the Captain to the crazy (I mean crazy) Cruise Director.
We had the priviledge of dining with the Captain, our dinner and service was not better than at our little table stuffed in the back. This speaks volumes. Not only are they friendly (they really need our gratuities, and there is NO excuse not to pay them), but they are all quite sincere. I can't imagine living aboard and going through the same routine every day with only hours off at a time for 6 months! Whatever inner personal skills are needed in an individual to deal with this type of life, RCCL is finding them, whatever they are being trained/taught/coached, etc. is obviously working.
Restrooms in public places are amazingly creative the way they are designed and always clean. The gym is just the right size and of course, WHAT A VIEW!, Spa services have really stepped up: acupuncture?! wow! Restalyn and Botox? Well, in a few years for me, but how nice to come back from your cruise all tan, and looking even more refreshed than you feel.
Promenade cabins CAN be noisy during the "shows". Do not get one of these if you have small children that go to bed early or may take a nap during a Promenade show, otherwise, we LOVED it! Nice to have the window, gives you the open feel that doesn't exist in a typical inside cabin. Everything else is quite sufficient including closet and drawer space. Jenna Martinotti
