we sailed from san pedro 4-25. the star is headed to alaska so i will spare most details on ports and such and just stick to the ship.

the star is in awesome shape, this was our 4th cruise and i was impressed by the maintenance of the ship. you won't even know its in the midst of bing refurbished except for a few closed halls. it does make it a touch confusing but once you get the layout its pretty easy. the food was better than i anticipated. we ate in several different venues, i found a few things i didn't like but that was just because i didn't like it. for the most part the food was quite tasty. there are the best chicken tenders in the kids corner at the buffet, best i ever had. some of the items we ate were salty, if i had any grip about the food i guess that would be it. the entertainment was alright, i suppose if a person doesn't get out much they would think it to be super, it was entertaining dont get me wrong just not what i'm used to. jeff harms was the comedian. found the staff with all but one or two to be quite pleasant. probably moreso than usual and that made the one or two stick out.

there were a few things to note on the bad side but they paled in comparison to the positives. some people write reviews and make it sound like they were taken hostage while onboard. phooey on them i say. this ship is my favorite so far
