Sail Date: Apr 2010

We are just back home from the 'springtime gardens' cruise on the Marco Polo. We couldn't believe our good fortune in managing to get a late deal on this ship. The itinerary provided an overnight stay in Rouen after sailing up the Seine - what a treat. Then on to Guernsey followed by a full day on St Mary on the Isles of Scilly.

Even the lower grade cabins on the Marco Polo are of a fairly good size with very good storage and very comfortable beds. The lounges are spacious with a range of entertainment in the evenings. The theatre shows were mostly musical presentations with one comedian/magician, excellent costumes and choreography. Full marks to the cruise director and his team.

Cleanliness of the ship was paramount All members of the crew were hard working and at all times pleasant. Now to the food; a very good choice in the Waldorf's restaurant and individual requests met. Didn't use the Bistro so no comments here.
