Ship Facts: Thomson Dream Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Thomson Dream Deck Plans
The Best Experiemce
This was my first cruise and wanted a safe environment so decided to give a cruise a go. The single occupancy for some cruise liners were stupid. Anything from 50-100% of cabin cost. Thomson had the best offer on Thomson Dream. She had plenty of cabins and the rooms were not a bad size. The bathroom was spacious and clean and plenty of closet room.

There were sports activities on deck 12 every day as well as fitness classes. Quizzes to take part in. Unfortunately the crew had only managed to get to the ship a day or so before due to the ash cloud stopping flights so they were learning as they went. As I said in introduction, teething problems. However when they got the hang of it they were marvellous.

We spent a 10 1/2 shore excursion in Italy visiting Florence and Pisa. And amazing day but tiring. The second was Villefranche, Nice, Monaco and Monte Carlo which was a fantastic tour. The final was Barcelona which the excursion was good but we could of done with stopping a few more times than we did. However each port had many different excursions to keep everyone happy.

The first day of sailing the sea was a bit rough but then it calmed down and it was steady.

The Andromeda restaurant was 24 buffet. Which was great but also because of the ask cloud they didn't have complete supplies. However the food was varied. The Orion restaurant was waiting service which was perfect size meals and didn't leave you stuffed.

The entertainment was brilliant. Abba night was the first night, then a show covering Italian and French songs. The 3 lads had brilliant voices and brought a tear to my eye when they sang one song in Italian. The next night was a comedian with Cabaret in later evening. We had Mr & Mrs game show, Men V's Women and Play your cards Right which all brought many laughs.

When we came to the last day and leaving the ship it was a bit hectic. Thomson had managed to space all the flights 10 Min's apart, which would of been fine. However we were asked to leave the ship 10 Min's before our coach was due to leave and backlog became a problem so everyone was waiting to leave the ship. But again I'm sure this will be sorted and it was Thomson Dreams first cruise with Thomson.

Overall I loved it and although there were a few problems, I'm sure theses will be solved in cruises to come.
