Background: We were six traveling: us (our 10th Princess cruise), your best friends (their 7th Princess cruise) and their two daughters (their 2nd Princess cruise - ages 11 & 13). We booked three side by side staterooms on Caribe mid-500s.

Embarkation. Flew out the day before and stayed at the Crown Plaza at the cruise port. Early arrival at terminal, smooth and well organized. What a difference over years ago. Have not cruised out of Lauderdale in a few years and was pleased with the changes. Arrived at the terminal around 11:30am and was on board by 12:15am. Note: we are Platinum and although not well marked, there is a separate line for Platinum and Elite members to jump the line through security prior to check in. They do not make it well known but it is there. Weather was not that terrific so it was more exploring the ship and getting comfortable.
