Embarkation: Arrived at pier 2 just before noon, was in our cabin by 12:30. This was our fifth cruise and by far the most organized embarkation. For those that choose to fly into FLL the same day of the cruise I recommend taking a taxi to the port rather than a shuttle. It is just a $10 taxi ride and there were people on our same flight, that took the shuttle, and arrived 40 minutes later. You have to remember, on a typical Saturday in Ft Lauderdale there is 6-8 ships in port. Grade: A+

Ship: With just five cruises worth of experience and 3 of those on Carnival the ships decor isn't something that makes or breaks my vacation. The Crown was kept clean and the decks are well laid out. Basic neutral color schemes but a very comfortable feel to it. Had no issues with pool areas, was always able to find a spot in the sun and enjoy not being at work! The outdoor movie theater is highly recommended. The main Theater , had no issues finding a seat on a nightly basis, but it does have a design flaw as selling drinks is almost impossible. Which I guess explains why alot of the entertainment is in the larger lounge areas. But it's comfortable and it works. There was over 3000 people on board and not once did we feel crowded. The longest we waited in line was 10 minutes for anytime dining one evening. Was very impressed. The Casino and lounges were typical for what you would expect. One of the hidden gems is the International Cafe on deck 5, excellent desserts and sandwiches!! Grade: A-

Cabin: We had a balcony cabin on the lido deck. Very nice to walk about 100 feet and you're at the pool!! The cabin itself was typical to all other cabins I've stayed in. Not sure what people are expecting when they complain about the size of a cabin. You are on vacation, relax! Our room steward did a excellent job! Always had fresh towels, ice and a clean room. Grade: A
