Folks...avoid this ship. Veterans of over 15 cruises between us, my girlfriend and I were stunned and horrified at many of the conditions on-board.

The Captain was forced to abort our trip to St. Thomas and St. Martian after two days for sailing due to T.S. 11, which later turned to hurricane Frances. Why the cruise line opted to sail for 2 days right to the cusp of an already developed the storm is beyond my comprehension. Our turn towards Jamaica occurred 8 hours before we were to arrive in St. Thomas. This after the original itinerary had been changed in order to avoid Hurricane Ivan. It seemed the cruise line lacked the ability to plan on the fly and my impression is that every one of the over 3,000 passengers felt a great bit slighted by the efforts of Princess Cruises. A small gesture of ship-board credit would have gone a long way in this instance.

We ultimately landed in Montigo Bay which at the time, due to Ivan had been reduced to little more than 4-5 overpriced jewelry stores. From there we headed to Nassau which was bustling due to the same day arrival of six other cruise ships. We were originally scheduled to visit 4 ports and the 2 extra days on the ship showed her flaws in a grand scale!
