This was my first 7 night cruise. I have (6) 4/5 night trips with either Royal Carribean or Carnival. For any9one who thinks a cruise will be perfect from day 1 to day 7, with perfect service and perfect food, you are mistaken. Celebrity did come real close to perfection on this trip.
First thing we noticed was the ease of the embarkation process. We arrived and parked ourselves after dropping off bags with the porter. After parking the car, we were walking on deck 5 with champaigne in our hands in 15 minutes. We were early and rooms were not ready yet, so we spent an hour or so walking the ship. This new ship is immaculate!. Though it is very large in size, and is decorated in a modern/contemporary style, you feel very comfortable. Very easy to navigate the ship and the elevators are fast and numerous.
The top level, Lawn Club was to say the least, a beautiful idea that made the trip for us. The solarium was also a much anticipated room to explore, but unfortuneately we did not get to enjoy it. One thing about Celebrity, is the age range is definately older than other lines and Celebrity's average age on this trip seemed to be in the late 50-60's. The solarium pool was frequently crowded with older men loitering in the pool and my wife did not feel comfortable swimming. A beautiful room not withstanding the previous statement.
Great cabin. Plenty of room for two, including two large suit cases. Storage for 1 under the bed and one on the side of the couch. Great bathrooms. Don't get the Aqua Class for the shower upgrade if your thinking of it. The designer shower head isn't worth it. No water pressure. Negatives: Room 1551 has a large ugly piece of the ship hanging in the middle of your view from the balcony. Was not mentioned in the booking process and we had several room choices. Very clean room. Very comfortable beds
