I apologize for the length of this review, but I found lots to share! We are a couple in our early 50's. We booked this cruise on New Years Day, and got a great sale price. I did not see the price go down before the cruise for our room category. We had just returned from a 7-day cruise on RC Serenity of the Seas in Dec., and had such a great time on that cruise, we wanted to go again! We chose the Millennium for the port intensive itinerary, and the longer length cruise, as the 7 day cruise in Dec. was not long enough. We had originally booked an ocean view room on deck 2, but about a month before the cruise, I found we were given an upgrade to Concierge Class balcony room 8167. No one ever notified us of the upgrade, I found out myself while checking for lower prices. A pre-cruise Concierge called us the week before sailing, and asked for our requests, but none of them appeared to be passed on to our stateroom attendant.

My husband and I flew down a day before the cruise on Easter Sunday. After our flight was delayed, we were happy we had chosen to travel to San Juan a day early, and not have to worry about flight problems. We took a taxi ($22) to the Caribe Hilton, which we had won on a Priceline bid for $89, plus 14% resort fee. We were given a King room in the main tower building, and the room was fine. The only problem with the Caribe Hilton is that there is nothing else around, which I knew in advance. It was okay for a one day pre-cruise stay. We walked to the nearby Subway and got a sandwich for dinner, and also got breakfast there the next morning. There is a convenience store across the side street where we picked up 2 bottles of wine for our cruise. There is also a liquor store a block away, but it was not open on Easter.

We checked out of our hotel shortly before noon on the 5th, and headed to Pan American pier. Check-in was easy, but when we got to the final security checkpoint, the security guard noticed that our Sea Pass card belonged to someone else! I left my husband there to avoid going back through security with our carry on bags, and went back to get a new Sea Pass card. Evidently, our stateroom number was incorrectly entered, so the fix was quick. Lesson learned: check your card when it is given to you. Our sea pass cards were given to us in a nice little pocket folder with a fold out map of the decks of the ship, and we used it throughout the cruise to remind us where our favorite spots were located.

Cabin Review

Cabin CC

Millennium 8167, Quiet location, even though it was across from crew space, we never heard them. Regular size balcony. Pretty far aft, we felt some movement. I would stay here again.
