Everyone involved with Celebrity from start to finish were always happy and attentive, which must be hard considering what most of them make. The only annoying thing was that the cruise lines are constantly trying to get more money out of the passengers. (overpriced water, wine, casino, events, excursions, shopping, artwork shams, etc.)

The boarding went great, lots of champagne while exploring the ship. We start meeting staff and guests that we'll see throughout the cruise.

Dining Dining was so great, the main dining, the buffet that was always available, the poolside grill, the spa cafe. We never made it to any of the 'specialty' restaurants. The menu and service in the main dining was great. Ports Note: In every port when you get off the ship there will be everyone you need to go/do anything. Have cash, credit and atm's not readily available. Grand Cayman: swimming with 6' stingrays and feeding them was special. Cartagena: Got out of a cab at the old walled city and met Ishmael who gave a tour, kept the vendors off us, and took all of our pictures. $20. He also took us to a back room of a jewelers where we could watch people making jewelry. After the tour we bought him a beer at Hard Rock, where we hooked him up with another couple for a city tour. Colon: Watched a ship go thru the canal, then went to the old fort Portobello. It was cool, with rich stories of Francis Drake, etc. Costa Rica: We decided to catch a cab to a beach resort north of town. We had pina colodas and spent the day there. We took a hike to the top of a hill there which was nice. At the resort there were guys with conga and guitar. Roatan, Honduras: Beautiful island. Took a cab to West End Bay, walked all the way around the bay counter-clockwise to a old on-the-water restaurant, snorkeling, and a path to the tip of the bay. Had some Honduras beer. Beautiful day and views. Cozumel: Took the ferry to Playa del Carmen, then a taxi to Tulum. It was very cool, and the beach below it was fantastic. Got back to Playa and had lunch and drinks at Senor Frogs while we waited for the next ferry. Ft Lauderdale: Disembarkation was messed up. They had given everyone a card to fill out regarding whether they had an early flight or other appt. Apparently those got thrown in the trash. They assigned everyone a "room" to be in. We were told the 'Equinox Theatre at 8:20'. We went there, all of these people sitting around waiting for their group to be called. We left and hung out on the top decks to relax. We left the boat late, about 9:45, and ended up in lines for Customs with people complaining they would miss their flight. We kept letting people ahead of us. But I'm thinking, if I was worried about missing a flight I would have gotten off the ship early, ahead of the masses. Went to a cool restaurant/bar on the water called '15th St. Fisheries. There were schools of tuna-like fish in the water, and everyday at 5:30 they feed the fish, including huge 100 lb. tarpon. We were buying $3 bags of shrimp bait to cut up and throw in while we had fish and chips. Drove down towards Key West, stopping at places, looking for someone to hook me up with a tarpon. Stopped in Marathon where there was a 73' ½ day boat called the Marathon Lady. Talked with Craig in the booth. He said when the boat comes back at 12:30, the crew will be filleting all of the fish and there will be 60-80 lb. tarpon in the water, and if I was nice to a deck hand they would hook me up. After the filleting I gave a deck hand $20 and he hooked a 60 lb. tarpon and handed me the pole. Everyone on the dock was watching and taking pictures as this monster flew out of the water. After about 15 minutes the tarpon was tired so I pulled it over to the dock so the deck hand could take the hook out. I opened my wallet and he said 'no, we're good'. Man, a tarpon charter boat would have been $350-500. That was cool.
