We are not new to cruises or easily impressed. The dining and entertainment on the Independence of the sears was superb and as always the service is excellent. I always marvel that preparing and serving that many people in for dinner is accomplished flawlessly, but this year the meals were truly exceptional.

I understand that the experience of some will vary but this year we were truly impressed with the meals and the production shows were nothing short of spectacular.

This is our perhaps twelfth cruise and normally the cruise director is a forgettable character sort of a master of ceremony that is just part of the package. This year we presented with a real entertainer in his own right and a very real addition to our vacation.

Cabin Review

The cabin on Royal Caribbean was very comfortable about what you would expect. We were located on the 8th deck, mid ship 1/2 way between both banks of elevators. That is a bit of a walk but not a bad thing given all you eat. The beds were very comfortable, the sheets crisp but just now thinking about it I guess larger towels would be nice, but that is a real nit pick. The balcony is a nice size and as with most things bigger is usually better but that is not a complaint.
