We sailed on the unknown cruise itinerary..and really didn't know where we would be sailing from until days before the cruise. All due to those pesky Hurricanes! Our biggest problem was being shuttle from Orlando airport to the dock in Miami because of the dock closing of Port Canaveral..we did end our cruise at Port Canaveral to the dismay of many passengers who had drove to Miami and had to be shuttle back to pick up their car or catch a flight! My husband is in a wheelchair and our TA had a scooter delivered to the cabin..which was wonderful.

The Mariner is a fantastically accessible ship. My husband had no problem getting around this beautiful ship..and the staff was more than attentive to his needs. We had traveled on Carnival before, which I like but the staff on Mariner where really the best. Our room was an accessible room with a beautiful balcony. Anyone who has not experienced a balcony needs to!!! It is the only way I will cruise now! The stateroom was beautiful. The Promenade (DECK 5) is the main hub of this ship and it really has something for everyone to enjoy.

There are so many bars on this ship..all with a different ambiance and really great drinks! We ate at both Portofino's and Chop's 5 nights out of the 7 because the food was so outstanding! We felt the extra money was worth it for the level and quality of food. I feel that the dining room and other food on the ship isn't really as good as Carnival..but the alternative dining is exceptional.
