Our cabin was M230 and was quiet for the most part. Beds, linens and pillows high quality. Lots of college and high schoolers on this trip ready to party, although surprisingly enough it was the middle school crews who ran rampant causing havoc, cutting in lines, playing in elevators etc without adult supervision and I am pretty tolerant having 3 kids of my own and being a teacher also.
We did witness 3 arguments over saved outdoor chaise seating that they had to call security in to referree. LOL. On at sea days if you tried to look anywhere for a seat at 9am there were none to be had.
Our truly only complaint we had was that we felt the food had gone way downhill from our past Carnival cruise. Still, it beats cooking it yourself but the evening dinners were a disappointment...tough meat, flavorless veggies. Overall, we would do again as this port is drivable for us. Most cruisers were from the south on this particular cruise, we are from midwest.
My 8yo loved the Beatles revue and the hypnotist. We didn't do anything else in the evenings so can't comment on those. She had a blast on this trip...plenty to do and kids to meet.
We did no shore excursions but hopped a taxi to the beach ourselves and loved the beach in Playa. $28 roundtrip to public beach via taxi.
