Traveled with children

I am writing this review from the perspective of a parent traveling with children, ages 10 & 12. When we were getting ready to travel, I noticed that there were not that many reviews that gave me perspective on what I could expect from the Ruby Princess while traveling with children. We were also traveling with another family with two children also ages 10 & 14.

First off, let me start by saying that we had a very enjoyable vacation. This is my husband and my 4th cruise and our children's 3rd. We choose the Ruby because my husband and myself sailed with Princess once before and found that their service was just a hair above the others we've sailed with. Since we were going to be traveling with some friends that had not cruised for 20+ years, we thought we'd choose Princess so they too could experience cruising at it's best. We, however, had not traveled Princess with children in the past, and were a little uncertain of what to expect. Our children have absolutely LOVED all of our past cruises, and have found the kids programs of those just wonderful. Our kids did enjoy this cruise, but it wasn't their favorite. I'll elaborate more on that later.

As CC has given a list of points they'd like people to review, I'll just go down the list.

Cabin Review

Stateroom A433:

4 bed option. Nice closet and drawer space for a family of 4. We did bring a hanging closet organizer for our kid's clothes. Good location near stairways and elevators so that there is not a long walk down a hall to the room. Very quick to get to and from the pool area as it is only 2 decks down and right next to the stairs. Didn't seem to hear too much noise from the hallway as we were located near the stairs. Located mid-ship so very little ship movement felt. Balcony was private and seemed to be on the side of the ship that we unloaded on at port so could watch from balcony.
