Flew in on Sunday and stayed at the New Port Beach Resort in Sunny Isle and had a lovely ocean view room with a balcony. There is a CVS, Einstein Bagels, Subway, Papa Johns and other restaurants a half a block from the place. Got a great Internet rate so would stay here again.

Monday got to the port and was on board within a very short time. Overall impression ship is beautiful for being so old. Went up to the Windjammer and enjoyed the buffet. We all could find something to eat. Later went and explored the ship. Found we enjoyed the Viking Crown lounge. Quiet and wait staff were great and friendly. Muster drill was efficient took about half hour. Went up to Crown and watched sail away. Bags were in elevator area so we just picked them up as we went past. Dinner for My Time Dining was hectic and around 6:30PM they were trying to have people come back at 8:30PM. Lady in front of us stated this is no longer My Time Dining it is Your Time Dining. He then managed to get us in, but the wait staff had difficulty serving us but not too bad. Just ended up leaving before dessert in order to make the show. Found you can always run up to Windjammer later for dessert if you must. Found waiters got better with serving after first night. Made a standing reservation for 6:30PM. Ate with another family first night and then another family remaining nights. Do prefer NCL freestyle dining much more organized and if you dont want to eat with others they will accommodate you. Never had to make reservations.

Tuesday Nassau got of the ship mid morning walked up to Fort Fincastle, Queen Staircase and over to Parliment House. Then onto Bay street shopping a bit picking up free souvenirs from ship promotions. Prices on gems and such did not seem like a bargain to me. Went back to ship ate lunch windjammer good and hot and plentiful. Three of us got of and went over to straw market. Daughter and Husband bargained for some stuff had fun. Stopped at Senor Frogs for a drink. Pretty tame crowd mainly families. Headed back and got ready for formal night. Took a ton of pictures and some turned out nice so bought three. wish they would organize photos better. Hard to find them all with the crowds on last night. Wish they would scan sea pass and do it with room numbers and just have them all together. But most cruises do this RCL not any different.
