This is a review of the Sapphire Princess, 3/13-3/20, round trip Los Angeles, to the Mexican Riviera.

We are Josie & Al, in our mid-sixties, essentially retired, living in Houston, TX. We have cruised with Princess six times over the past three years, each on a different ship (Caribbean, Grand, Dawn, Emerald, Star, and now Sapphire). All were wonderful experiences. This will probably be a pretty comprehensive (i.e. long) review, so please bear with me. Each aspect of the cruise will be rated from * to *****.

EMBARKATION: *****. Being Platinum Captain's Circle members, we went through the "preferred" check-in procedure in a matter of minutes, and waited in a designated lounge until called to board. We were the first group on the ship, which does have its advantages during that hectic time when everyone seems to arrive simultaneously. The cruise was sold out.
