We had a great time on the Westerdam, as first time cruisers my wife and I had some aprehensions of what it would be like and what to expect. As soon as we got into our stateroom and went out onto the balcony we looked at each other and said we will do this again. Our seven day Western Caribbean Cruise on the Westerdam was far to short it just sped by like a dream.

The food and service where 4 star and the entertainment that we picked to go to was very good. My wife enjoyed the spa and Crows nest and I was happy with all aspects of the ship and crew.
There were a couple of negatives but the positives far out weighed these. Biggest issues we had:
The tendering to Cozumel and the number of ships in port when we where there. (Seven) Way too many people in the port area. Our shore excursion was out of the city so that helped a lot in buffering any negatives we had and the snorkelling we did was awesome.
We are mid fifties and found that there where a few too many children on board for our liking. Having babies crying through lunch and supper was a bit much on a couple of days. But from what we where told the number of kids is just the luck of the draw on a cruise.
These two issues where not big enough with us to be critical of the cruise.
Will cruise again with Holland America we thought it was a class act.
