Family and Friends birthday crusie

Sail Date: January 2010
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We booked this cruise for a 60Th and 65Th birthday for our parents. We had 28 people in our group ages 2 to 82.

Embarkation- We arrived at the port 1:30pm were on the ship in less than 30 Min's. Fastest we have ever boarded.

Cabin- We had booked an inside cabin. DH DD DD and myself. Lots of closet space for everyone. Was a little small at times but for the price and the amount of time we spent in the room it was fine.

Ship- It was easy to navigate and I didn't think that the ship was as bad as people had said. We loved the serenity area. All though it was very hard to find a chair in there most of the time. Staff were always cleaning and were very friendly.

Food- Was far better than our last carnival cruise on the Victory. We loved our waiters Noel and Rolando. As well as Dee. Loved the warm chocolate melting cake. Kids loved the pizza and the ice cream station.. We did book the supper club and really enjoyed the service and food. Entertainment- More Was good, but not the best we have seen. We loved the ticket to ride show. Comedian Marvin Todd was very funny. Casino is always a bust for me on the ship. DH won on the Texas Hold em tournament and enjoyed the games there.

Ports- We have been to San Juan before. Carnivals time here is not the best 4 pm to midnight. We just walked around were back on the ship by 8:00pm for supper.

St Thomas- Have been here before. Booked with Air Force 1. Had used them in 2004 and had a blast. Were not disappointed this year. We book a private tour for our group. Went shopping ,touring,Magens bay, and Sapphire beach (Campbell we love you!)

Antigua- DH DS went deep sea fishing for the day with a private company and had a ball. Girls and I went to a beach for the day. Took a bus form the station for 1:50 per person each way it was fine and easy.

Tortola- Want to move here... We went to Brewers for the day it was great. Cab was $6.00ea way. Small beach hut with burgers and fries and cheap beer. What more do you need...

Nassau- Went to Paradise Island for the morning. Booked with the ship. $98.00/person. Nice spent 4 hours there and hit the straw market did some shopping and back on the ship 45 Min's before sailing.

Debarkation- We were off at 10:30. Picked up our bags no trouble. Boarded the bus and were at the airport by 11:30

Over view- We had a great time on this Cruise and can't wait to go again. Ports were great and for the price what more could you want. I would definitely book the Freedom again... Less
