Where do I begin? I would like to first say that prior to cruising with this cruise line, I did a thorough investigation on this ship and its amenities. I also retrieved an inspection report from the Center for Disease Control. I read several other reviews and received multiple recommendations to cruise with this cruise line. Bottom line. My overall cruising experience with the Celebrity Century was AWFUL! Here's why.

September is Hurricane season. We cannot control a Hurricane. They are considered an "Act of God." That is understandable. However, a cruise line such as Celebrity sailing a ship that is over 8 years old can control how they handle their customer service during inclement weather.

We were set to sail initially on 9/5/04 on the Eastern Caribbean itinerary. We learned on 9/4/04 that we would be sailing a modified itinerary on 9/6/04 at 5:00. We were given an additional $500 shipboard credit along with a 50% off coupon to sail on another Celebrity Cruise line. The option to get our money back was not offered. Instead of refund, the cruise line offered a letter of credit to those who decided not to sail on the modified itinerary. My fiancEe and I agreed to sail on the modified ternary with the $500 shipboard incentive and the 50% future cruise coupon.
