This sailing on the Crown was the last cruise of our "snowbird cruises" this winter to escape Michigan snows. We did the Sapphire in December, the Ruby in January, the Grand in February and B2B on the Crown in March. This was our second week on the Crown.

Our Cabin When we were on the Ruby in January we decided to do the second cruise on the Crown and booked a promotion on an inside cabin - our very first inside on Princess. The upgrade fairy was very stingy - one category only so no big deal. We were in C532 and soon found out that inside cabins can be very nice and cozy.

Itinerary Same itinerary as last week but this time we did stop at Roatan. The new Mahogany Bay is wonderful - sort of like Grand Turk and Princess Cay combined. First a shopping area then a 10 minute walk - or chair lift ride (8$ per person for the day) - to the private beach island. Sit on the beach, folic in the water, rent kayaks, etc. Very nice. Since we did Grand Cayman last week we just enjoyed staying on board. At Cozumel the weather was terrible - wind and rain. All tours that involved water sports were cancelled. It was a nice day to stay inside and read and watch movies. And as happened for us many times in past cruises, the swells were too large to safely tender into Princess Cays so we missed that stop again. So we missed Princess Cays both weeks. On the sea days the decks were packed - seems like if you didn't claim a deck chair by 8:00 am you couldn't get one until people decided they had enough and left. Typically about half the lounges had towels or other things on them to claim them - Princess says they will remove things from chairs not occupied for 30 minutes but we have never ever seen that done.

Cabin Review

Nice cozy cabin, only problem was loud humming noise from machinery nearby.
