Preface; We have been on six previous Princess three RCC, one each Celebrity and Carnival. After our first Princess cruise we continued to enjoy them the most. We were really sold after our cruise on the Grand and it continues to be one of our favorites. I will have to say that RCC is a very close second. My opinion only.

On the 12 cruises, honestly, we have had a good time on all. We realize not ALL food is going to be perfect, not all entertainment is our cup of tea. So we go with the flow and enjoy what is out there and make do with that. I will certainly not bash a line because the food is not gourmet. If that's what you want then do a Silver Seas, Crystal, Regency etc. but then be prepared to pay up to four times the amount.

That said, on our Golden to Hawaii, very nice. The ship itself was beautiful. The crew unbelievably friendly. Our room was on Emerald deck mid with a window, hardly obstructed. Our room steward Ceasar did a great job. Clean wine glasses in the room every night! The food was overall Very good! That would be in the Main, Specialty, International Cafe and Horizon.
