We started our vacation from Ft Lauderdale. We stayed at the Best Western Airport south, lets just say the Hotel was really nice but the Ants in our friends room were not. and shuttle being over filled really sucked... But not going to let that wreck the vacation. We paid for a shuttle from the hotel $8.00 per person and got there by 11:30 which was a really nice time to go. Not too many people at the port even thought there was 5 ships in port that day and we were able to get inside right off.We were on the boat in record time less then 1/2 hour from drop of to on board( watch the gang way it is like doing the Biggest Loser incline walk). First impression was amazing the ship is so big it was incredible that they could do something like this and it still floats. We met up with our CC friends that we had come with from the hotel and went to the windjammer for a light lunch and get ready to see our room. Room size was comparable to Carnival except the Balcony on the IOS was deeper and the ones on Carnival were longer, doesn't really matter to us much. After lunch and seeing our room we went to deck 4 forward to hunt for the stairs to the Helipad Found it and boy was it ever windy so we did not stay long.. Had the I'm the king of the world moment and left.We went to our friends cabin for a sail away the of to start the vacation we had waited for, for 10 years..

We had made previous arrangement to deal with my allergy to celery and to get my food cooked with out salt but neither made it to the ship..Good thing we checked. We met our Head waiter Ali from Turkey who guaranteed my safety.. well that didn't last long. I got my meal with a chunk of something on it that we could not identify when asked Ali said it was onion. I told him that was not onion that it looked like Celery,My husband took one bite and sure enough it was celery( may allergy is anaphylaxis to celery). My husband tore a strip out of the head waiter and we didn't have anymore problems with this the rest of the cruise. Our table mates were from the US and Canada so we were the Can-Am connection..They were the best table mate we have ever had. It was really nice to meet up with them every night to see what kinds of things everyone did during the days.. kind of like family.. Our server Don Don from the Philippine's never seemed to get the tea down pat with the dessert he just could not remember to bring it, and our waiter Dawa from India could not get the Salad dressing on the side. We really tried to get these two to lighten up a bit but I think they were being stretched to far and looking after to many people at once, I guess that is par for the course with bigger ships The first evening coming to an end we went to see if our luggage had finally arrived and got a message from someone saying that alcohol had been found in our bags and we would have to go to deck 2 to pick them up.. Oh Oh the naughty room...When we got down there, there was many others there going thru their bags.My husband went security questioned about the bottles of water I had brought , I told him simply that unless he could guarantee there was no salt in the water in the tap then I was taking my water with me,he said go ahead but asked about my husbands mouthwash but since the label was still on it and the lid was firmly tight he let it go..it was really Crown Royal..

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

the Cabin in E2 was nice size for us but you can't wash the back of your head with your elbows out without knocking the walls. Balcony is a nice size ans so is the size and set up of the room..I would choose this category again..
