First of i would like to point out that this msc cruise is the first one I've done but many people from my group that traveled with me had done other cruises with different lines.

The ship has many flaws most of which can easily be corrected with simple changes to the style. On the cash free ship you use your cabin card to pay for extras such as drinks. The card has a credit balance pre paid and as you go along your balance drops. Every time you make purchase it automatically adds 15% gratuity to the charge. The problem with this is that the staff does not go out of their way to impress you as they have already received the tip. The second problem with the ship was like other cruise lines they had beach towels for the deck and for at port, a convenient service but they kept track of which guest had towels. The man handing them out was also assigned to only hand out 1 towel per card. This became a pain as my family of four could not just send one person to get the entire family towels. The largest problem is that like other cruises their is a buffet but on the poesia it was different. Three some days 4 buffets where served. Breakfast-Lunch-Midnight-sometimes dinner. The problem was lunch buffet,if you went on to land by the time you got back the food was gone and if you had a second seating dinner you went without food until 8pm.

Now that i have talked about the bad i will highlight the good. The staff where polite and always had a smile even at the hardest of times. The boat was spotless and the dinner food was mostly amazing. I don't recommend the duck!
