The ship is a beautiful addition to the line, considering the last Celebrity cruise was on "Century", where the suite bathroom door hit the commode only allowing limited access. The Sky Suite on Equinox was very spacious compared to the Century or Millennium class, in fact 20% larger, with a large balcony. We were allowed on the ship at 11:30, given priority treatment, except I wish the escort didn't break into the line of people waiting to be scanned and announce that we should stand at the front of the line. We got some nasty stares. Either have a separate line or don't do it.
Upon arriving in the hallway of our cabin we noticed a strange smell, like a stable, and I wondered who our neighbors were. This odor persisted for days until it went away or we became used to it.
Our first dinner on board was a complete disaster. I made the reservation a year in advance and requested second seating at a large table, near a window if possible. We were escorted to a table for two, in a corner by a window, with me facing a wall partition and my wife facing the kitchen doors. You would think that I gave the Miami office enough time to accede to my wishes. We found out on the ship that Select Dining (open seating) was now available, and I told the Maitre D' that we wanted to switch from Second seating to Select. He led us completely astray and I finally got my wish after complaining to the breakfast Maitre D' and Guest Relations.
2121 was large with good sized balcony. The tub was very high and the glass panel by the shower prevented the use of the wall handle to exit the tub. Elderly beware. Hall was quiet and excellent butler service.
