Took my daughter who was turning 21 and two of her college pals joined us at the last minute, so it made it double the fun. They got a great deal on an interior cabin down the hall - "the last cabin!" The cruise director Matt Baker had the partying started within minutes of boarding and it never stopped. I am normally a fairly laid back Mom but loved participating in and attending the dancing, shows, etc. They were great -- the Newlywed Show and the show the last night were HYSTERICAL. Comedian Rich Purpura was super with all - kids, teens, adults. My group did karaoke, Qwest, etc. and every minute was FUN and not corny or tacky (as feared. Have been on Carnival Triumph before where every minute someone was taking our photos and trying to hawk them to us. This ship was a lot more low-key. I appreciated that. There was a downside -- we often had trouble communicating with the staff and I am not certain who is to blame. Not a lot of English spoken or understood -- btw, I speak Spanish and French as well and those did not help either!!!Tried to purchase a video of the trip and were given conflicting answers, waited for explanations, made phone calls, etc., all to no avail (my daughter was in the video shown on the tv aboard and we wanted a memento as we were not allowed to film the shows and were certainly willing to PAY for them). This proved to be a frustrating lost cause. That being said, the ship was clean and pretty and light and airy, the food more than tasty -- I had a ceviche one night to die for and Oysters Rockefeller and the Caesar salads that are always available were enough to make a meal out of with chicken thrown on them. DE-LISH! We sat out on the back of the ship for our casual meals, had room service for two for coffee early mornings (arrived right on time with a smile)as we docked. Celebrated dinner (w/extra cover charge) at Cagneys for my daughter's birthday -- cake and singing were fun and the food, though good, was perhaps not as special as advertised... The waiter we had that night (Kamel ?) made it fun tho and I am glad we did it, but we had dined in both of the other dining rooms (5 pm and 7 pm recommended as 6 pm is when "everyone else" goes)and they seemed just as good to me... As for the stops? Freeport Grand Bahamas sadly did not have much happening -- we also hit a patch of rainy cold weather. Took a taxi over to Our Lucaya Resoort where we were literally the only ones to sit out for about an hour of sun. They rent beach chairs for ten bucks and pool chairs for $20 -- the ocean was so rough and the wind so harsh nobody could sit on the shore! Such a pity... The restaurant The Prop Club made up for it -- good food, drink and fun atmosphere and the hi-lite of the day! Our cab drivers pointed out the downhill slide of the island since devastating hurricanes -- pretty sad.

Nassau the next day was just was windy - again not a beach day (not NCL's fault) but we found stores we had not seen the last time we were there and REALLY enjoyed the Straw, AKA Knock-off-Handbag, Market and Senor Frogs -- plus, the Business Office at Atlantis let my daughter use their computer to check her Facebook for a couple of bucks on her actual birthday (w were not having good luck on the ship itself and NCL's promised email was "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" during our trip (gggrrrr). Someday we are going to go back to Nassau and stay at Atlantis....Love it there. The rough seas and high winds precluded a tender stop at Great Stirrup Cay the next and final day so the Captain stayed at the dock in Nassau rather than go to sea and rock all nite (nice!. Our group (the kids had made a ton of friends!) had a terrific nite aboard for White Night, dancing to DJ, etc. The next day we spent anchored at sea which was actually a welcome way to relax and enjoy the ship. Also unlike Carnival, there were plenty of chairs on deck. Could have had something to do with the cooler-than-usual weather tho! Anyway, we loved the cruise and entertainment and want to find Matt Baker again as a Cruise Director! Can you say Austin Powers !?!?! Yeah Baby!!!! Wiccky Wickky Wahhhhh!

Our cabin was perfect for the two of us and located near a stairwell (ideal). Boarding and debarking were simple and took no time at all! Am ready to do it all again. Now, if only Mother Nature would cooperate!

Family Balcony

Cabin B3

9259 - had some issues with a "teakettle noise" when at sea thru the door of the adjoining room. Due to VERY high winds. Staff sent carpenters to address it but it continued off and on. Stuck towel under door -- helped. We were never in room anyway!!!! Great location tho and we loved the balcony. Had a queen bed rather than two twins. Hard bed but we like that. Pillows very big (I like small mushy) but my daughter loved them. Nice reading lite overhead for me. Sometimes heard people in adjoining room but not an issue...
