We flew into MIA and took the Royal Caribbean shuttle to the port. It was an amazingly seamless process and one that I would gladly repeat in the future. Embarkation was a breeze and before we knew it, we were on the ship having lunch.
It didn't take me long on this ship before I realized that I was correct in guessing that there would be a lot of "spring breakers" on this cruise. There were large groups of college students everywhere. While their presence was definitely noticed, and things on the ship weren't as quiet as usual, I felt RCI did an excellent job of maintaining order. I witnessed bar tenders carding students multiple times and other rules were enforced. Unfortunately, there was a tragic accident involving a young man jumping into an empty pool at 3:30 in the morning on Thursday but that didn't seem to be anything that RCI could have prevented (there was netting on the pool to make it obvious it was closed).
The ship is beautiful. There are so many fun things to do - whether you want to do something active like ice skate or rock climb or you want to catch a variety of shows, this ship has many options to choose from.
